  1. From my college experience, I want to be able to say that I got everything that I wanted out of it. I want to be able to say that I met a lot of nice people and that those people will still be my friends even when I get out of college. I also hope to have very memorable and interesting moments from my college career that I can remember for the rest of my life. I just want to have a really great time in college and that I will get the most that I can out of it.

  2. A) Aside from learning about biotechnology, I want to develop good relationships throughout my college experience. The Center seems to have a great sense of community that I want to take part of. I can use my math and science knowledge to maybe conduct group research and give back to the community. Sure, getting a master's degree in a field you are passionate about is wonderful, but it is the lasting friendships and relationships you build along the way that make the road to getting that degree memorable.

  3. Besides academics i hope to gain musical knowledge as well as create great relationships with my fellow classmates. Not only in the Center but on main campus as well. I feel college is just as much about the experience as it is about the education.

  4. Something that I hope to withdraw from my college experience is the knowledge and understanding of real-world responsibilities when it comes to getting things done on time and work-ethic. This is due to the fact that it would be something that would help me further advance my career later on in my post-graduate life. I also hope to gain through my college experience some new relationships to go along with the few old ones I have, which would both help increase my network of those that I know and rely upon, as well as help enhance my overall college experience.

  5. I am hoping to get a lot out of my five years here at Kean. We all will expand our knowledge, but I really hope to successfully branch out to the real world. I realize now that transitioning to an adult through college to prepare for the work force will not be as easy and as effortless as high school. I am anxious to see all of the challenges waiting for me, and I hope it shapes me in to an all-around better person who is more than ready to be an educator.

  6. Aside from knowledge in math and science, I plan to get much more out of college. One thing I would love to learn and be part of any activities at Kean would be for computer science. I would love to get more knowledge on computer science, how to write programs, and how to create my own programs.

  7. Other than the general knowledge that I will be learning over these next five years as a STEM student, I hope to learn skills that involve researching. I feel that research can be very beneficial to anyone, since new discoveries can be made. I also hope to learn skills needed to become an educator so that I can pass that knowledge that I have learned onto the young minds of America some day.

  8. In general, I am extremely excited for college and when I graduate, I want to be able to say that I have made the most out of my college experience and did not just have my nose stuck in a book for five years. Besides my academics, I plan on getting involved on campus by joining different clubs and organizations. I'm also hoping that I find people that I can become close with and build long-lasting relationships with.

  10. Multitudes of people say that their college experience was the best time of their lives. In my upcoming five years, I hope to get out the best long lasting friendships. Everyone in the T2K course over the past four days seemed amazing. People need positive energies around them to become successful. With my future colleagues, I feel that I can achieve the goal of long lasting friendships, and a great successful and memorable 5 years at Kean University.

  11. The first thing I came to realize after entering the STEM building was the spirit of community that was encouraged so much. I believe that to be one of the advantages of being in such a close knit university and I that is exactly what I expect to gain from my university experience. I do look forward to a benefitting education, apart from that I hope to gain several real life experiences from my days here. During these days at T2K, we have been stressed to sharpen our time management skills and that is also what I hope to do. On general, I really hope I became a more responsible, respectable adult.

  12. A.) One thing that I would really like to get out of college is a newfound sense of independence, and get a feel for living in the real world. While education is very important, I feel that living on campus will also give me a better idea for life outside of living with my parents. It will help me better manage my time, and balance the important things in life (such as school or work) with leisure time. It might be challenging at first to wake up on time, remind myself of assignments, and keep appointments, but after awhile I should be able to gain that sense of responsibility in college.

  13. A.) Aside from knowledge, what I would like to get out of college is not only the full experience but also the relationships that it builds. People always talk about how college was the best years of their lives and many times it is because of the people they met. I hope to also meet amazing people and forge lasting bonds with them. College is also good for learning independence. We no longer have our teachers and parents watching over our shoulders to make sure we are doing what we need to. College allows students to gain that imdependence needed in the real world setting.

  14. As far as getting my degree in science there are many more things I want to explore and get out of my college career. I have always been thinking about being heavily involved in different clubs and organizations. Although clubs are up there on my list after my schoolwork, I would like to have a very successful volleyball career in the 4 years that I will be able to play. Getting court time would be enough but what would make my career in sports a success, would be getting honorable awards such as player of the week or, going bigger, rookie of the year.

  15. There are two things that I hope to gain from my college experience at Kean University. The first is the many life skills needed to succeed in the scientific business world. I want to know how to effectively market myself, and to give myself as many options as possible as far as what I do and where I go after college. Secondly, I hope to make several friendships in college that last a lifetime. I grew up from kindergarten with several of my current friends, simply to find out that we will all be going our separate ways for college, and that I may never speak to any of them again in the same way. I hope to find something different in college.

  16. Growing in scientific and mathematical knowledge is only a part of what I hope to gain from Kean University. As an aspiring physician, research experience and organizational skills will become crucial as I become more familiarized with the fields of work I can choose from. Working in a lab setting has always interested me, and I hope that I can build a strong bond with the professors as well. Also, as independence increases, I hope that the amount of self-driven motivation I will need increases as well. This will allow me to grow more organized, and I hope to use this skill for the rest of my career.

  17. A.) I want to have fun! However, that is not the only important thing that I'm after. From my college experience, I would also like to form strong relationships with my peers and my professors. Becoming closer to my professors will help me to achieve more in classes and possibly even do some lab work. Becoming closer to peers will help form lasting friendships that will surely bring laughter and fun! Understanding the importance of being proactive with both professors and peers is definitely necessary to getting the best time out of college.

  18. A.) Something that I would definitely hope to get out of my college experience is to meet new people. I understand that college can be more diverse than a high school. In a high school, the students that attend are most likely living close to that school. In college, there are people that come from different states or even different countries. For this reason, a student in college can meet new people from different parts of the country and/ or world, unlike a high school. Another thing i expect from the college experience is to definitely get involved in different things. I did not really join any clubs in high school and I would like to change that in order to experience something different.

  19. While academics are the hallmark of college life, other aspects must come into account in order to have a full college experience. Personally, I hope to learn more about other cultures that I have not been exposed to in my previous years. College offers the unique chance to meet a motley of people from a plethora of culture, religious, and ethnic backgrounds. I truly hope that experiencing that new sense of diversity will help me grow as a person and see the world in a brighter light.
